Do you struggle falling to sleep at night? It’s probably your #brainwaves fault...

At the root of all our #thoughts, #emotions and #behaviors are

waves of communication between neurons within our #brains.

These brainwaves are synchronized electrical pulses from masses of neurons communicating with each other.

Brainwaves can be divided into bandwidths to describe their functions, but are best thought of as a continuous spectrum of consciousness. From Delta being slow, loud and functional -- to Gamma being fast, subtle, and complex.

Our brainwaves shift and change according to what we’re doing and feeling.

There are five broad types of brainwaves:

  • Gamma Brainwaves: Highly attentive state of consciousness and perception involved in higher mental activity and organization of information. Research has indicated at moments when bursts of precognition or high-level information processing occur, your brainwaves briefly reach the #Gamma state.

  • Beta Brainwaves: Beta brainwaves dominate our normal waking state of consciousness when our attention is directed towards cognitive tasks and the outside world. You can think of Beta as ‘fast’ activity: present when we are alert, attentive... engaged in problem solving... judgment... decision making... and engaged in focused mental activity. #Beta brainwaves are further divided into three distinct bands:

  • Low Beta (Beta1, 12-15Hz) can be thought of as a 'fast idle, or musing.

  • Beta (aka. Beta2, 15-22Hz) as high engagement.

  • Hi-Beta (Beta3, 22-38Hz) is highly complex thought, integrating new experiences, high anxiety, or excitement. Continual high frequency processing is not a very efficient way to run the brain, as it takes a tremendous amount of energy.

  • Alpha Brainwaves: Alpha brainwaves are dominant during quietly flowing thoughts, and in meditative states. Alpha is ‘the power of now’: being here, in the present. Alpha is the resting state for the brain. #Alpha waves aid overall mental coordination... #calmness... #alertness... #mind/body integration... and #learning.

  • Theta Brainwaves: Theta brainwaves occur most often in sleep but are also dominant in the deep meditation. Theta acts as our gateway to learning and memory. In theta, our senses are withdrawn from the external world and focused on signals originating from within. It is that twilight state which we normally only experience fleetingly as we wake or drift off to sleep. In #theta we are in a dream; vivid imagery, intuition and information beyond our normal conscious #awareness. It’s where we hold our ‘stuff’, our fears, troubled history, and nightmares.

  • Delta Brainwaves: Delta brainwaves are the slowest but loudest brainwaves (low frequency and deeply penetrating, like a drum beat). Delta waves are generated in deepest meditation and dreamless sleep. Delta waves suspend external awareness and are the source of empathy. Healing and regeneration are stimulated in this state, and that is why deep restorative sleep is so essential to the healing process.

Have You Ever...

  • ... been in your ‘flow’ state? Alpha brainwaves were the reason...

  • ... been in a deep, restful sleep you had on vacation with the blinds closed? Delta brainwaves were the reason...

  • ... been kept awake all night with your mind chattering? You’re probably stuck with overstimulated Beta brainwaves that refuse to slow down.

However, when it comes to getting better sleep at night, there is a solution...

One Surefire Way to Stimualte Deep Rejuvenating Delta Brainwaves and Get The Best Sleep of Your Life

Here's what's amazing: you can get into any brainwave state you want at will using audio tracks embedded with specific binaural beats

#Binaural beats use a natural process called #entrainment that allow you to enter states of better sleep... enhanced #creativity... #relaxation... reduced #stress.
